Enjoying this beautiful Tuesday with a walk along the lakefront. The sky is crystal clear. The bright sun is hitting my face and reflecting off the surface of the blue water. The cool breeze is blowing through my hair and making the green palm trees dance in the air. The sound of the waves create a calming presence, and the sounds of people having fun and laughing fills the atmosphere with happiness.

Lake Pontchartrain’s Lakefront, formerly known as Pontchartrain Beach, is not any ordinary lake. It is an open body of water between the South Shore and North Shore in Louisiana. The Causeway Bridge, which is the world’s longest bridge over a body of water, lies across the expansive lake to connect both shores. The distance between both shores are so far; it is impossible to see the opposite side.

You don’t want to miss out on the restaurants, outdoor activities, and history of Lake Pontchartrain’s Lakefront and the Causeway Bridge.
